Koh Lipe is one of the beautiful islands in Thailand that offers white powder sandy beaches and turquoise crystal clear waters. During my trip to Koh Lipe, I stayed in Mountain Resort Lipe and The Cliff Lipe resort. I do recommend both resorts because they are really nice, located on sunset beach and they offer magnificent views that you will never forget. In this post, I will share my stay with The Cliff Lipe Resort.

The Cliff Lipe Resort
The Cliff Lipe or also known as The Cliff Sunset Beach Resort Koh Lipe is situated at the southern Thai island in the Andaman sea and about 2 km from the main city in Koh Lipe. The Cliff Lipe is indeed a great place for relaxing. It is located in a very quiet area that lets you feel the romantic atmosphere with amazing natural views.
Room
The Cliff Lipe resort offers many types of rooms and I got a really stunning room, the Jacuzzi Ocean View Room and it was my favourite room. The room is very spacious and divided into 2 floors. The bedroom & bathroom are in upstairs and the Jacuzzi is downstairs.
The room also come with a private garden and a private balcony where you can enjoy the stunning sunset view. The sea view from the bedroom and Jacuzzi are magnificent.
The best part of it was waking up in the morning and the first thing I saw the breathtaking scenery right from the bed. It was indeed a million-dollar view.
Location
The Cliff Sunset Beach Resort is situated in a good location which is approximately 5 minutes away driving to the main walking street in Koh Lipe. However, due to the location that is up on the hills, it is not convenient to walk to the main street, instead taking a car or motorcycle will be a better choice.
The good thing is the resort provides free access for guests to the walking street with a certain time so you do not have to worry about the transportation. Yay!
Dining
There is only 1 restaurant inside the resort and it was the place where I had breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was okay because was not a buffet style breakfast so it was very limited choice. I did not enjoy it that much but the view from the restaurant is incredible. It is certainly a spot for watching the sunset.
Transportation
The easiest way to get to Koh Lipe is by flight, then taking a ferry to the island. Once you reach the island, if you have booked the resort already, there will be staff holding the resort name board to pick you up. (Feeling so privileged)
Entertainment and Amenities
The resort comes with a private beach at the back downhill where you can enjoy sports activates such as snorkeling and kayaking with free of charge.

Unpleasant Experience
During my stay, I was told that the front desk service would be closed at 6 pm and the other service such as shuttle and restaurant would be closed at 8 pm. I never expected that it would be totally quite around the area after 8 pm. I wanted to get a taxi to go to the walking street to get some food and walk around but I could not find a single person in that resort (pretty scary). It was lucky that a local neighbour was willing to drive us to the town otherwise I would end up starving. So if you are planning to stay in the Cliff Lipe, I suggest to get dinner earlier or escape from this resort before 8 pm if you wanna go to the town.

I love to stay in this resort especially the beautiful Jacuzzi room because it surrounded me with a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. The stunning scenery around and quite place made this place perfect for a romantic getaway such as honeymoon or a couple’s romantic occasion. Apart from the normal breakfast and night transport difficulty experience, we had a really wonderful stay at this resort and I do recommend to stay at The Cliff Sunset Beach Resort when you come to Koh Lipe.
